M.C., rapper, dancer, singer turned television host, Cappuccino is coming full circle.

Since the age of 12 (82’), Cappuccino has been performing in front of a audiences for one reason or another. Growing up in the South Bronx, especially in the 70’s and 80’s, one can’t help to be absorbed into the Hip-Hop culture. Starting out as a DJ turned M.C. turned singer-dancer, found his way to television host after noticing a void of exposure of area talent, party promoters and dj’s he knew. Because of the great love and respect he has for these talents, Cappuccino felt they should have a fair share of television exposure. So in response, Cappuccino created and developed Pens and Needles. Pens and Needles is an award winning public access cable show that showcases area talent and personalities. Pens and Needles airs weekly within the five boros of New York City.

Singer/DJ DJ Cut La Rock makes his mark on radio.

D-Jaying Since 1979, D.J. Cut La Rock inspired to be one of the greatest D.J.s like his heroes, Hip-Hop forefathers, D.J. Grand Master Flash and D.J. Whiz Kid. Countless clubs, countless parties and countless shows later, D.J. Cut La Rock has become a great, well seasoned, well respected D.J.. D.J. Cut La Rock can be seen occasionally on tour with the world famous Sugar Hill Gang.

Since the introduction of a friend and family member, Cappuccino and Cut La Rock have become best friends and partners since the mid 80’s, forming their version of “He’s the MC, I’m the DJ”. Originally meeting to form a singing group, the two soon realized that they have much more in common. Spending countless nights rehearsing, producing, recording and performing Hip-Hop and R&B, these two were able to intermingle with the most diverse talent to ever step on stage. From taken top honors at the world famous Apollo as a unknown rap act(which is unheard of) to coming back as guest in the form of a singing group. There have been many times when one night they would open for acts like Big Daddy Kane and Jay-z as a rap act then another night open for The Manhattans and Harold Melvin and the Blues Notes as a singing group. There is no hurdle that can’t be jumped by these two.

Whether spinning records or rolling tape, this dynamic duo is a team to be reckoned with!!!
